When you sign in using Google or Discord via Clerk, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We also store content you create on the platform: community posts and replies, shop submissions, and your activity in discussions. Aquarium tool data (water parameter logs, feeding schedules, etc.) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device — we have no access to it.
Your data is used to display your profile in the community, attribute posts and replies to your account, moderate content, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Clerk uses cookies to maintain your authentication session across visits. Future Google AdSense integration will use cookies for ad personalization. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, email us at privacy@freshwater.vercel.app. We will process your request within 30 days.
All community and user data is stored on Google Firebase servers. Tool data (parameter logs, feeding reminders) is stored only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
